Arore and Juffa heat up on air

The battle of the Oro Governor seat heated up during the FM100 Talkback Show today.

During the talk back show Ivijitari MP David Arore called in from Popondetta town with his seven presidents lashing out at the incumbent Oro Governor Gary Juffa.

Mr Arore challenged him to return to the province and see it for himself.

An unhappy Mr Arore called in telling show host Roger Hau’ofa: “Roger lets be fair here”.

Mr Arore then quickly took aim at Juffa shouting while airing his grievance.

“He is making a big mess in the media.

“Come now to the Provincial Assembly – meet me and my seven presidents

“Come on , Papua New Guinea stop being deceived,” Mr Arore shouted.

While Mr Arore was on air, his seven seven presidents were also shouting at the background showing their supporting.

One president even shouted calling Juffa ‘Bloody idiot’ while Mr Arore was commenting.

The yelling and shouting continued for a few minutes before Mr Hau’ofa decided to engage the call.

In response Governor Juffa said it clearly shows the type of leadership they were thrying to provide as an alternative for their province.

“You can see the chaos in that. There is absolutely nothing of any sense in that.

“I want to tell the seven presidents and their open member you didn’t elect me the people of Oro elected me.

“And I have a meeting with my council presidents of the Kokoda Authority and  when we are finished will come down and you can meet us there at the Provincial Assembly,” Mr Juffa said.

He said as for the assembly they will hold the assembly when they are ready.

“I am the chairman. I will call for the assembly and yes they can bring their presidents I will bring my presidents and we will debate in a proper way – not shouting or yelling,” he said.

Mr Juffa said this rhetoric behavior or ‘caveman’ type mentality is not good for Oro.

Arore and Sohe MP Delilah Gore have teamed up with other Local Level Government presidents in hope to remove Governor Gary Juffa.
