Ottio named in Raiders trial Squad to play Knights

Former Papua New Guinea Hunters and  Canberra Raiders new boy Kato Ottio has been named in the Raiders squad that will  take on the Newcastle Knights this weekend. This will be  the first  NRL match for Ottio besides the Auckland 9s.

Raiders Coach Ricky Stuart will use the trial to give the NRL squad a chance to perform against the Knights in a bid to finalise his 17 for the clubs round one clash against the Panthers.

Blake Austin is missing from the squad to take on the Knights, as he recovers from off-season shoulder surgery. Shaun Fensom has also been ruled out as a precaution following a broken arm in the pre-season. Both players are expected to be available for round one.

NYC Player Jack Williams replaces Shaun Fensom in the trial match squad.

The Raiders will be live streaming the match on the clubs website.
