PNG Hunters make changes to game time to suit PNG fans

The SP Hunters Management would like to acknowledge the continued support of our diehard supporters and the need to respond to their concerns in respect to our night football games finishing mid evening and therefore causing security concerns for our many supporters who use public transport to and from the SP Hunters games.

In response to these concerns the SP Hunters have mediated with the QRL and the Intrust Cup family in respect to, if and where possible, change our game day schedules to better complement our supporter base. Changes to game day schedules can only be made if in agreement by all parties concerned.

The SP Hunters would like to acknowledge the understanding of both the Townsville Blackhawks and the Norths Devils in agreeing to new game times for the Round 6 and Round 9 SP Hunters Home Games.

Round 6 Sunday 10th of April at the NFS kick-off 3.00 pm v Blackhawks – Willie Minogue returns to take on his former SP Hunter brothers.

Round 9 Sunday 1st of May at the NFS kick-off 3.00pm v Redcliffe Dolphins where current Broncos Darren Nicholls, Tom Opacic and Arron Whitchurch and former NRL players Luke Capwell (Panthers) and Zac Strasser (Broncos) give strength to a powerful backline.

The Round 7 game against the Norths Devils will remain on Saturday night the 16th of April with a 6.30pm kick-off, however the NFS Trust and the SP Hunters are making sure that PMV transport will be available for patrons to return home safely.

The SP Hunters Management is continuing a dialogue with all of our other Home game teams to reach an amicable agreement on match times.
