Kerenga Kua joins Opposition

Sinesine Yongomugl MP Kerenga Kua is the latest Member of Parliament to join forces with the Opposition ranks this afternoon after Kerema MP Richard Mendani.

Mr. Kua expressed that his reasons for moving from the government middle benches to the opposition was primarily because of failure by the O’Neill/Dion to handle national issues but more importantly negligence and suppression of the systems of accountability by the government.
Most members of the Opposition who present at the media gathering this afternoon praised Mr. Kua for his bold move.
Rabaul MP Dr. Allan Marat said while his move to the opposition ranks will bring a wealth of experience, he will also strengthen the current standing of the Opposition team.
Also today, member for Bulolo Sam Basil formally handed over the Opposition leadership to Kandep MP Don Polye after he was reinstated by the courts this week.
