While most schools managed to receive their Examination papers on time and without any issues, it was a struggle for the Education officers in Hela province who had to brace with the heavy downpour in the province to deliver the Exam papers.

According to the Education Director Ms Joanne Puname, the other 6 schools managed to get their paper on time but they had a turf time delivering the papers to Koroba Secondary School and the Paga Secondary school in Lake Kopiago area.

“It’s been raining here for days and this has resulted in a land slide blocking off the main road to both these schools, we could not even cross the river as it was heavily flooding”
Ms Puname said, they did manage to deliver the exam papers to Paga High School; however they had to walk along a bush track to deliver the papers to Koroba Secondary School which took them the whole day.

Meanwhile, the grade 10 Examination starts tomorrow with more than 60,000 students expected to sit for this Exam right throughout the country. PNGFM / PNG Today
