The launching of Strategic Direction 2017- 2020 coincides with monthly National Management Team (NMT) Meeting which occurred today.
Commissioner of Police Mr. Frank Prendergast, “The Strategic Direction for 2017 - 2020 was develop during the one week long conference held at GBR from 10th to 14th October 2016 with the PPCs and Directors who also discussed and developed the Annual Business Plan and the Work Action Plan”.
He stated, “The organisation’s current Strategic Direction ends at the end of this year together with Annual Business Plan. The new Strategic Direction and Annual Business Plan was developed following a review to reflect the new strategic Direction where the RSIPF will drive to for the next four years”.
He said, “The RSIPF Strategic Direction 2017 – 2020 clearly identifies the Mission, Vision and Values of the RSIPF, its six goals and its values through which both the Mission and the Vision will be achieved. The values should underpin every action and decision taken by members of the RSIPF in performing their duties”.
He stated, “The primary goal of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force is to increase community confidence, reducing crime and the fear of crime within the communities, and maintaining National Security”.
