Basil retains Bulolo Open Seat

Deputy Opposition and  Pangu Party leader, Sam Basil has retained his Bulolo Open seat after reaching the absolute Majority votes of 26, 184 in the primary count.  His runner-up was an independent candidate Rex Mauri with only 2310 votes.

The Pangu Party now has two MPs so far particularly after strong performance from the Morobe province.
