Japanese Delegation in Bougainville


The Japanese Ambassador to PNG, His Excellency SATOSHI NAKAJIMA and JICA Chief representative to PNG,MR. TAKASHI TOYAMA are in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville this week on a fact finding mission to Bougainville.

They arrived at the Buka airport just after lunch today to a traditional Bougainville welcome.
After arriving they met with the ABG President Chief Dr. John Momis before travelling to Arawa where they will overnight.
They will leave Arawa for Buin through Panguna to see the rivers which need bridges in South Bougainville and will be met by the member for South Bougainville, Timothy Masiu in Buin. 
The team will then visit the Buin Vocational School, Buin Health Centre, Buin Fish Market then travel to Kangu beach.
They will overnight in Buin and travel to Arawa where they will see the Arawa Hospital, Arawa School of Nursing and the Arawa town sewerage site project.
They will return to Port Moresby on Thursday.
