Grand Chief Sir Michael calls for removal of PPC

East Sepik Governor, Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare has called on Prime Minister, Peter O'Neill, and Police MInister Nixon Duban, to immediately remove the province's Police Commander.

The Grand Chief made the call following an unexpected police operation yesterday in the province, carried out by the Riot Squad, under the leadership of PPC Joe Poma.

Sir Michael told Parliament, the PPC is not doing his job and is misusing government properties.

Prime Minister Peter O'Neil says he will respond to Sir Michael's request by this afternoon.
