PNG Police to farewell Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare
The Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary is gearing up for a ceremonial parade for Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare on Wednesday afternoon.
Commissioner Gary Baki confirmed in a paid newspaper advertisement, the program will commence at two o’clock at the Bomana training College.
Baki said it will be a thank you farewell and had invited members of the public to join and say goodbye to the founding prime minister .
The program was planned earlier on during Sir Micheals exit in parliament, but has been adjourned due to the busy schedule of the Grand Chief.
NCD Superintendent Operations Fred Tundu, they were busy since last week preparing for this.
