Micah is new PPP leader

The People Progress Party or P-P-P has changed its leadership.

Sir Julius Chan, handed over the responsibilities to Member for Kavieng and State Enterprise Minister, Ben Micah, today.

In a short but significant ceremony, the outgoing Leader, Sir Julius says he was handing over the reigns to Micah, to concentrate on provincial affairs.

Sir Julius says, this was a decision that he made during last month's party caucus meeting.

Mr Micah also shared similar sentiments adding, the change has nothing to do with the ongoing matter now unfolding within government ranks.

He says, it's coincidental, that the announcement of the change comes at a time, when there's a lot of speculation for the top job.

Mr. Micah says, P-P-P does not have the number, hence will remain committed to the coalition, as per the Alotau Accord.
