PNG's Tropic air expands its fleet with a new jet

A new cessna citation CJ3 jet has entered the commercial flight industry, literally taking VIP services to all new heights.

Tropicair launched the new jet last week, the first of its kind in the country.

The charter company has been serving Papua New Guinea since 1998 with modern safe aircrafts for private and commercial use. The addition of the jet will give executive travellers the opportunity to cruise in supreme comfort and style at very affordable costs.

CEO and founder of Tropicair, Tony Honey, said the new aircraft will enable travellers to go faster, further and higher.

“The CJ3 can travel at a speed of 650 km per hour and reach heights of up  to 40,000 feet, all at total comfort and safety.”

With the recent rise in fuel prices, the citation jet is the solution. It is exceptionally fuel efficient and has a low operational cost.

The launched jet can carry seven passengers and is equipped with in-flight catering, as well as in-flight entertainment. It also comes equipped with its own private aft lavatory with sliding privacy doors.

Mr Honey said that the primary purpose for the jet is for passenger charter, medical evacuations through medicair, oil and gas resource sector clients and the executive business travels for the general public.

With its specific engineering, the craft can comfortably land and take off on remote airstrips just as well as it were on international airports.

Apart from the aero medical services, aerial survey, search and rescue and business class travels, Tropic air also specializes in resort and leisure transfers.

Since commencement of Tropicair’s  charter services the company has expanded in size and scope to offer a modern well-maintained turbine and jet powered aircraft fleet.
