1969 & 1991 South Pacific Games Gold Medallists Wanted

The XV Pacific Games Organising Committee would like to recognise all the gold medallists

for the 1969 and 1991 South Pacific Games.

Both Games were held in Port Moresby and Lae, and the Games Organising Committee

would like to make contact with the gold medalists to recognise their efforts in making PNG

proud at these two historical Games.

GOC CEO Peter Stewart said, “The 1969 and 1991 South Pacific Games medallists did not

only won gold medals for the country but their sporting achievements went on to inspire

many young athletes today who will be taking the field in July. Their achievement is worth

being recognised.”

Anyone who knows their wherabout is asked to advise them to contact the Games

Organising Committee through the GOC Board Director Mr David Conn on

All medallists are to submit their information comprising of contact details, state where they

are now, what year they won a gold medal and for what sport.

This information is to be submitted by COB of Friday 5th June 2015.
