PNG Opposition Leader Don Polye calls on Prime Minister O'Neill to resign

Papua New Guinea  Opposition is calling on the Prime Minister and key economic ministers to resign from office, alleging them of mismanaging PNG's economy and bring it into a serious cash flow problem.
Leader Don Polye said, the government's failure to listen to sound advice and warnings from the Opposition and other economic experts, has resulted in the nation's economy taking a dive, and debt levels climbing to unmanageable levels.
Mr. Polye said, he had warned the Government of a possible downturn in the country's revenue, following a drop in oil and other commodity prices, but it failed to listen to him.
Polye said other economic institutions like the International Monetary Fund and think tanks from the Australian National University had called for fiscal consolidation, and the introduction of a supplementary budget early this year, but those fell on deaf ears.
