PNG Women learn how to create demand in Business

There are many business opportunities for women and getting to really know who to create demand for products and services will further increase that opportunity.
This was the message given by the US Women Entrepreneurship Expert, Ms. Samira Cook-Gaines to local business women at a Women Business Workshop in Port Moresby today.
One of her main point she told participants was that having business partnerships creates demand, so as taking opportunity of various technological, social and any government policy changes that sets the environment for creating businesses.
It is this that women business owners must look at and take the opportunity to enter into, especially in a tough business environment like Papua New Guinea’s.
Ms. Cook- Gaines serves as the Chief of Civil Rights and Economic Empowerment for the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC).
She was also the Founding Director of the Washington DC Women’s Business Centre, which supports women entrepreneurs through training, individual consultation, mentoring and business growth.
Having vast knowledge and experience in support policies and initiatives, she gave so much more than just the principles of doing business, such as identifying and overcoming obstacles in having a successful business.
The close to a hundred women participants in the workshop expressed satisfaction and gratitude for the vital knowledge she has imparted on to them.
