Tower Insurance opens in Vanuatu

Vanuatu’s newest insurer, Tower Insurance which has a long and proud history across New Zealand and the Pacific officially opened its doors in Vanuatu this week.

Located at Unit 7 of the Ocean Walk Building in Down town Port Vila, the Tower Insurance opening was officiated by Governor General of the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu, Simeon Athy, witnessed by Chief Executive Officer of Tower NZ Ltd, Richard Harding, High Commissioner of New Zealand, Georgina Roberts, Vanuatu Team Leader of Tower Insurance, local staff and other other invited guests from the insurance sector.

In his short remarks CEO of Tower NZ, Mr Harding said their work as an insurer is “is to be there in the community when the people needs us the most which is really what the insure does”.
“To be there when the customer has a dramatic incident whether it is a small car accident or when there is a major cyclone like you had in March.
“Insurers really enables communities to operate because we manage to transfer risks and we manage the impact of risk on people’s lives.
“It’s great to be here to be part of Vanuatu community and be here to support and grow the economy and business in Vanuatu.”

Aiming to offer affordable insurance solutions, Tower Insurance services includes Home Insurance, Contents Insurance, Car Insurance, Travel Insurance, and Business Insurance.
When officiating the opening, Governor Athy said the event “marks another milestone in the ongoing development of the Vanuatu’s financial sector, in particular the insurance industry sector.
“I am delighted to say that your presence here has added confidence and value to the insurance industry and the financial sector as a whole, despite the recent experiences the insurance industry has gone through during Cyclone Pam,” Athy added when congratulating Tower Insurance.
