Air Niugini flight cancellation affecting passengers

Air Niugini has cancelled most flights out of Port Moresby today and this is affecting the travelling passengers. The backlog of Air Niugini passengers will increase by the day depending on how soon the National Flag Carrier rectifies technical and operational issues causing all the cancellations.


According to a reliable source within the airline company, this is putting a big burden on the flights, as the airline staff will have to deal with offloaded passengers wanting a space on the next day while priority will be given to passengers booked for that day.

Meanwhile, the airline has destined itself from participating from the Stop Work call out by some professionals  and reassured the travelling public that flights will operate as normal during the proposed stop work period , as they  have an obligation to serve the people of Papua New Guinea and overseas.
