UPNG students to enroll in 2017
The University of Papua New Guinea students will re-enroll in 2017 after the university closed prematurely in 2016. Students are confused as to whether they will need to apply again for next year to secure.
UPNG Acting Chancellor Dr Nicholas Mann said that “the students were not expelled. They are students of university and they will all enroll next year”
Dr. Mann said the students must not confuse applying and re-enrolment and that application is only for those who are not students of the university. Dr Mann assured that all the students will begin the 2017 academic year by enrolment.
There is also the question of how the university plans to accommodate the first year students who will be repeating next year as well as the new intakes.
Dr Mann elaborated that “there will be 1000 plus new students added to the first year group but the university has the capacity to deliver.”
