BSP appoints Regenvanu to lead operations in Vanuatu
Bank South Pacific (BSP) continues to build its greatest asset; Human Resources, through mentoring and building young professionals to lead the biggest bank in the Pacific.
This week, BSP's Group CEO, Robin Fleming announced the appointment of Nik Regenvanu to lead the BSP operations in Vanuatu, as the new Country Head.
Hailing from Uripiv Island, Malekula, the Group CEO was also pleased to recognise Mr Regenvanu, as the first Ni-Vanuatu to lead the business and will bring a deep knowledge of the market and strong stakeholder relationships to the role.
Mr Regenvanu has over 15 years of banking experience having served in various capacities including most recently as Head of Business Banking in Vanuatu. Prior to Westpac acquisition, he was the Senior Relationship Manager of Westpac Vanuatu and was also Senior Relationship Manager of ANZ Bank Vanuatu before that.
He takes over the reins from Stuart Beren, who was instrumental in supporting and leading the BSP Vanuatu team through the Westpac acquisition and integration into BSP. Mr Regenvanu will be overseeing the operation which includes 95 staff.
Mr Fleming thanked Mr Beren for his worthy mentoring, leadership and guidance and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
Last month BSP also announced the appointment of Haroon Ali, of Fijian heritage, to head the BSP Fiji operations as Country Head.
"We will continue to develop our local talent at all levels in all the countries in which we operate," said Mr Fleming.
