2021 Examinations to go ahead as schedule, Observe COVID-19 Protocol : PNG Education Department
The Papua New Guinea Department of Education says the National Examination for 2021 will go ahead with strict observation of covid-19 protocols . In a circular, the Department secretary Dr Uke Kombra directed all education authorities and administrators of all schools and institutions operating within the National Education System INES), permitted Schools and private school to allow 2021 National Examination to go ahead as scheduled by the Department without disruption.

At the same time , he has directed all schools to observe COVID-19 Protocal to minimize the spread of the pandemic.
He urged all provincial and district Education Officers, churches Education Secretaries, School inspectors in the provinces to help support to ensure the examinations are conducted fairly to give every student and equal opportunity.
- Ensure examination venues are under tight security
- ensure sufficient number of external invigilators and limit number of internal invigilators
- Principals must be at the school during the time of examinations
- All students to wear face mast while sitting their respective examinations
- all school staff to wear face masks
- No Provincial administration has the power to suspend schools
The Department also thanked the UNICEF for assisting with PPE for schools particularly in NCD, Western, Sandaun, Madang, Morobe, and Eastern highlands Province.
The Exams begin on Monday 11th of October, 2020 and will conducted in three weeks. Below is the schedule Examinations for 2021.
