PNGDF celebrates 75th Anniversary of Papua Infantry Batalion
The Papua New Guinea Defence Force commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Papua Infantry Batalion at the Murray Barracks Command Parade Grounds on Monday.
During his keynote address Retired Brigadier General and First National Commander Ted Diro while paying tribute to those who took part and sacrificed themselves also challenged the force saying “as members of the disciplined services you must play your part in implementing ideas of social changes and code of good conduct”.
The event was witnessed by the Australian High Commissioner along with New Zealand High Commissioner, Brigadier General Gilbert Toropo and Commissioner for Correctional Services.
