MRDC helps Life PNG Care send underprivilage kids to school

MRDC joins a host of other State Enterprises to support the programs of Life PNG Care in giving underprivileged children an opportunity to go to school and get a formal education.
Today MRDC presented a cheque of K5, 000 to Life PNG Care’s ‘Strongim Pikinini Education Program’ to help enrol 75 kids in Primary and Secondary schools in NCD.
Public Relations Officer, Iona Reto said MRDC is all about investing in today’s resources for future generations and the programs that Life PNG Care is carrying out stands up to their vision and purposes and they are more than happy to help.
Life PNG Care has enrolled 102 underprivileged kids from its organisation with 75 of these kids attending school this year.
“Life PNG Care is all about giving these street kids a chance to go to school and the opportunity to live a good life because they are our future leaders,” says Mr Collin Pake, National Director of Life PNG Care.
He said this support from MRCD and the continuous support from other State Enterprises certainly speak volume about the need to invest in our human resource for the future growth of PNG.
From the 75 kids enrolled, 8 are currently attending Secondary schools, 12 attending Christian Academy Schools while the rest are in Primary schools at various suburbs of Port Moresby.
