OFC Nations Cup semi finals set




The most prestigious Oceania Football Confederations Nations Cup tournament has reached semi final stage and is all set to go down to the wire tomorrow (Wednesday) as 4 top teams of the pools take to the field of play at Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.

Four teams are in the semi finals including favourites New Zealand, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia and hosts Papua New Guinea.

OFC and PNG Football Association President David Chung congratulated all teams for their efforts through the group stages up until the semi finals wishing the teams luck tomorrow.
Mr. Chung said as president of PNGFA, he is very proud of the PNG men’s team for making history in entering the semi-finals of the OFC Nations Cup for the first time and again history in finishing first in their pool.

“I congratulate all 4 teams and encourage all players to play every minute of the game in the spirit of fair play,” said Mr. Chung.
