PNG Hunters: Nima Shines as Peak Huntsman in 100th Game Performance

Papua New Guinea’s SP PNG Hunters celebrated a standout performance from Brandon Nima, who marked his 100th game in style, earning the title of this week's Peak Huntsman. Nima delivered an inspiring all-round performance during the match, further solidifying his reputation as a consistent and reliable playmaker for the team.


Nima crossed the try line once and set up two more tries for his teammates, proving instrumental in the team’s offensive plays. He also broke through five tackles, gained 159 metres on the gain line, and amassed a total of 176 running metres in a tireless effort that was key to the Hunters’ performance this week.

While Nima took centre stage, several other players were also commended for their strong efforts on the field. Team captain Ila Alu showcased his defensive strength by making an impressive 35 tackles, anchoring the Hunters’ defensive line.

Jordan Pat contributed with 128 run metres from 14 runs and also made 18 tackles, showing great balance in both attack and defence. Meanwhile, Alex Max impressed with 164 run metres, 13 runs, and 14 tackles, delivering a powerful performance through the middle.

Sanny Wabo was another highlight for the Hunters, scoring two tries and clocking 119 run metres. His attacking instincts and speed added further firepower to the team’s campaign. The Hunters will look to build on these individual performances as they prepare for their upcoming fixtures.
