Marape continues to lead as elimination round continues

The current Member for Tari Pori in Hela Mr. James Marape is still leading the race as the elimination round continues for the electorate.

According to the Returning Officer Mr. Jack Walara, after the 8th exclusion Mr. Marape is still in the first spot with 28, 886.

He is followed by Johnny Pokjap Philip on the second spot with 12, 286, while Jason Alwija Haiara is on third place with 6, 671.

Mr. Walara said the absolute majority to reach is 30, 311 and there are still 60, 623 ballot papers to go as they progress into the 9th exclusion with 18 candidates remaining. PNGFM/PNG Today
