We will refer Prime Minister O'neill to the Ombudsman Commission: PNG Opposition

Opposition has today announced that it will be referring the Prime Minister, Peter O’NEILL to the Ombudsman Commission following his lack of concrete response on the floor of Parliament regarding the controversial failed Public Housing Scheme, which he spearheaded as Public Service Minister in 2009.

Leader of Opposition Belden NAMAH says at least K40M of public funds were year marked for the public service housing was expanded and to date there is no trace of meaningful development on the ground at 8mile.
Furthermore, it says that the Speaker had refused to entertain the questions by Opposition on the floor of Parliament today but had allowed Mr ONEILL to answer the same question raised by SHP Governor, William POWI.
Meanwhile, another Minister to be referred to the OC by the Opposition is the Finance Minister, James MARAPE who is believed to be handing out DSIP cheques to MP’s who favour Govt’s bills and amendments in Parliament.
Mr Namah says during Opposition’s meet with the Finance Secretary recently, it was noted that all DSIP cheques are printed out ALL AT THE SAME TIME, and Mr Namah is now questioning why most MP’s on the Opposition Bench are yet to receive their’s.
