Opposition leader, Beldan Namah has been referred to the Parliamentary Privileges Committee.
Parliament Speaker, Theo Zurenouc referred the leader following request by Prime Minister, Peter O'Neil over the tabling of the letter to the floor of the House yesterday.
The letter relates to the Prime Minister allegedly authorising the payments of outstanding legal fees to Paul Paraka Lawyers.
In a personnel explanation this morning Prime Minister, O'Neil denied the letter came from him.
He told parliament the style of writing and signature are not his.
He also says a search was carried out overnight through their office but could not locate copies of the letter.
Mr. O'Neil ask that Mr. Namah be referred to the Parliamentary Privileges Committee for him to answer questions as to how and where he obtained the letter.
Mr. O'Neil also says he will make available the copy of the letter to the investigation team.
Speaker Zurenouc agreed to refer Mr. Namah saying it was only fair that he refer the matter to the Privileges Committee given yesterday's events.
