Meninga confident in PNG Kumuls
Team Kumul is confident for a successful World Cup Challenge under the leadership of Mal Meninga.
Mal Meninga worked wonders for the Queensland Maroons and believes PNG Kumuls can learn some valuable lessons in the lead up to 2013 World Cup Challenge.
Meninga is confident that the boys will execute an outstanding performance when taking on Scotland in a pre-world cup match.
“I get a lot of enjoyment out of being involved with the Kumuls. It’s very satisfying to put back into the game of rugby league in Papua New Guinea,” says Meninga.
“I’ve been coming here for such a long time and it’s good to see that everyone is aligned and it’s also good to see the government aligned with PNG Rugby League”.

Players know what to expect both on and off field. Vipers inside Centre and current Kumul Player Richard Kambo believes in on- field discipline.
“Communication is the biggest thing in every game of rugby league. To win a game you have be the better talk inside, and also have discipline when you’re attacking or in defence,” says Kambo.
Team Kumul high performance training camp has ensured players are well equipped in their ball handling and tackling, and on field communication is paramount.
The Teams schedule is out including the Prime Minister’s XIII challenge which will be held on the 29th of September at the Kalabond Oval in Kokopo, East New Britain Province.
