AIR NIUGINI RETURN TO SIMBU
The hardship of traveling to Mount Hagen or Goroka to catch a flight will now be a thing of the past for the people of Chimbu, as they can now do so at their own doorstep.
This has been made possible with Air Niugini, re-introducing its first commercial flights into Kundiawa, on Friday after two years.
Thousands of excited people including provincial leaders were at the Kundiawa Airport to welcome the inaugural flight.
Air Niugini's return into Chimbu province, coincides with the province's cultural show.
On board the inaugural flight include Simbu Governor Noah Kool, Sate Enterprise Minister Ben Micah, Arts and Tourism minister Boka Kondra and other elites of Simbu.
Our reporter Rose Amos was among the delegates on that flight.
