The Speaker and the National Parliament should be looking at taking actions against the many damning reports tabled by the many Commissions of Inquiry first before trying to remove the carvings in parliament.
Northern Governor Garry Juffa said this when speaking at a Press Conference at Parliament House today in support of people who have spoken out against the removal of these carvings.
Governor Juffa said the Minister for National Planning and Monitoring Charles Abel has tabled various reports involving millions of kina on the floor of parliament this year which included the NADP report involving about 5 hundred million kina, the RESI Funds report, 230 million kina, and the National Development Report which involved about 250 million kina but have not been investigated as yet.
He said these reports contain tangible evidence of corrupt activities that occurred and should be given prominence in investigation and prosecution and not things made by human hands and are not contributing in anyway to the corrupt practices in the country.
