AUSTRALIAN JUSTICE MINISTER ON PNG VISIT
Australia's Justice Minister is a on a 3-day visit to P-N-G starting today.
He will meet with several senior officials including the Minister for Justice and Attorney Genera, Kerenge Kua and Police Minister Nixon Duban.
Discussion will focus on Australia’s support for PNG’s law and justice priorities including transnational crime and policing.
Mr Keenan says he would be reinforcing Australia’s priorities in supporting PNG’s initiatives that improve law and justice conditions and the broader social environment, to benefit both the people and the economy of PNG.
Discussions will also include PNG’s progress to establishing an Independent Commission Against Corruption.
Apart from meetings, Mr Keenan will visit Australian Federal Police missions in Port Moresby and Lae, and officers deployed as advisors in PNG law and justice agencies under the Strongim Gavman Program.
