Angra Kennnedy leaves Coca Cola garamut and PNGFM
Host of Papua New Guinea's Top music program, Coca Cola Garamut, Angra Kennedy officially leaves the show and PNGFM today after almost two decades. Angra made this known today. He inboxed fellow colleague Kast-T to let him know that he was leaving.From a very humble beginning an unknown Sinasina boy from Simbu has made it to a household name in the radio show business in PNG. His voice is synonymous to the 7million people of PNG. He was labelled as the King of highlands radio by current program director Kasty.Kas-T said he drew the biggest crowd whenever he did outside broadcast in the highlands region. “Twice he had to do his show up on the roof top of a supermarket in Mt hagen,” Kas-T said. He said Angra started from a night receptionist to a senior radio broadcaster with PNG’s Pidgin Radio Station – 93FM YUMIFMHe left Radio entertainment for a short while back in 2007 to contest the Simbu Regional Seat where he ended up finishing fourth. He then return to his favourite show in September of the same year until today. “Angra has done so much and so well for YUMIFM over the years and we would like to thank him for what he has done for YUMIFM and PNGFM Ltd as a whole. “Angra, we shall salute you for the milestone and huge fan base you’ve created over the years and wish you and your family all the best,” Kas-T said.
