Devils beat SP Hunters 32 - 24


Garry Lo scores for Hunters
The North's Devils hold off spirited SP Hunters second half fight back to clinch the victory 32 - 24 infront of a large crowd in Brisbane. 
The Hunters started the second stanza like the first when a sweeping backline saw Gary Lo go over for the first of his two tries. Zemming successfully converted to trail by 10 points again.

Some scrappy play from the Hunters led to another try to Norths. Big Essau Siune brought some life back intop the Hunters when he went straight over the Devils to score under the posts. Laka converted to put the scores at 26-18.

Great play by Lachlan Maranta saw Kodi Nicorima score outwide. The Hunters were on the back foot and struggling and struggling. The Hunters return to Port Moresby today to prepare for another away match against CQ Capras on Saturday.
A stunning 110m try by Garry Lo on fulltime ended an entertaining round 12 Intrust Super Cup rugby league match against Norths Devils in Brisbane yesterday. Norths won 32-24.

Norths looked to have sewn up the game at half time with a 22-6 lead. Hunters scored first when Warovo Puara Jnr scored backing up which Noel Zemming converted.

Norths hit back with a try in the corner outpacing the cover defence and with the0 conversion successful levelled the score. Michael Lucas broke the deadlock when he scooted over in the corner after a good break by Carney.

Norths extended the lead to 10 points when they scored with the conversion successful by Darren Nicholls. Just before the break, a double cut out pass by the Norths back saw a converted try to lead 22-6 at the half time break.
