O'NEIL IN COURT TO SET ASIDE WARRANT OF ARREST
Meantime, Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has gone to court to set aside the warrant of arrest against him.
The urgent application was filed in the National Court today.
Mr O'Neill's lawyers were at the court house in Waigani this afternoon, to secure a judge to hear the matter.
However, the matter has been set for 10 o'clock tomorrow morning because the judge wants to hear arguments from all parties concerned.
Maivo Lafanama is at the court house:
"From what has transpired, I understand, the Prime Minister's Lawyer, Tiffeny Twivey, would be asking the court on the legality of the warrant of arrest issued by police last Thursday for Prime Minister Peter O' Neil, that is in regards to the Paul Paraka matter.
All the parties were at the court house this afternoon for about four hours since five o'clock, waiting for a judge to be appointed for the case to be heard. But, Judge Ere Kariko said he would hear the matter tomorrow at 10. 30 in the morning."
