PNG HUNTERS PLAYERS, LOMAI AND AIYE SUSPENDED

COACH Michael Marum will be forced to re-shuffle his team for this Saturday following the suspension of two players after last week’s game against the South’s Logan Magpies.

Prop Timothy Lomai and Dion Aiye, who had both been named in the team for this weekend’s Round 15 match against the Redcliffe Dolphins, were placed on report and subsequently cited for lifting in a tackle on a Magpies player in last week’s 42-12 victory in Kokopo.

PNG Rugby Football League CEO Brad Tassell said the coaching staff had viewed the incident and based on the video evidence decided to accept the early guilty plea for both players.

Aiye because of carry over points from a charge earlier in the season will miss two matches with Timothy Lomai escaping with a one-match suspension.
