Second new cinema set to open in Port Moresby
THE second cinema multiplex in Port Moresby is set to open this month.
City Pharmacy Limited is set to open its second Paradise cinema outlet at its new Waigani Central Stop N Shop.
The company announced in April at the launching of their new shopping complex that the cinema would be ready by this month.
CPL Group chief executive Ravi Singh said in April the second Paradise Cinema will have three theatres with a seating capacity of 150-165 seats.
The new cinema investment was valued at K6 million.
The company said ticket prices will be cheaper than the Paradise Cinema at Vision City.
For 2D movies – tickets will be going for K15 for adults and K10 for kids (12 years and below).
For 3D movies, adult tickets will be sold at K18 and K13 for kids.
It will also have a gaming centre called Hamamas Ples set up as well.
The company said they are putting final touches to the facility and should be ready for cinema-goers anytime this month.
City Pharmacy Limited comprises its subsidiaries, wholesales and retails supermarket goods, hardware, bakery, and pharmaceutical products in Papua New Guinea.
According to its website, its retail network spans health and beauty chains, supermarkets, hardware stores, coffee shops, a household store, and a multiplex cinema – with a second cinema soon to be opened.
The company operates 56 stores under the City Pharmacy, Stop N Shop, Hardware Haus, Boncafé, Homemaker, and Paradise Cinema brands.
It also produces and distributes pharmaceutical products. City Pharmacy Limited is based in Port Moresby.
CPL’s key executives are; Ravi Kant Singh – chief executive officer; Mahesh Patel – cofounder and executive chairman and Raman Kumar – administration, finance and secretary general manager.
