Israel Eliab's Field Goal sinks Falcons 25 - 24
The game was played in a wet condition and both sides struggled with handling errors.
Hunters were first to score after an handling error from the Falcons and were leading 6 - 0 at the first quarter of the game. The Falcons fought back to level the score. The Hunters score to more tries while Falcons score two tries in the first half.
Hunters who took a 18 – 12 lead into the half, managed to score only one try in the second stanza through Jason Tali, scoring his second of the day.
Falcons fought back hard in the middle stages of the second half to score two tries, but only able to convert one.
A series of penalties by the Hunters gave Falcons to opportunity to level the scores at 24 all after a penalty kick.
Hunters would capitalize on a dropped ball by the Falcons in their own half and set up the play for PNG Hunters Caption Islrael Eliab to slot the winning field goal with two minutes remaining and hold on to win.
The Hunters will have three more games at home and they have a chance to play finals if they win all the home games. .
