PNG Hunters name team for round 22 clash with North's Devils
COACH Michael Marum has reminded his SP Hunters team to maintain their focus as they prepare for an even tougher game against North’s Devils this Saturday.
This is necessary to avoid the tendency to get carried away by a performance such as last week’s big 56 – 12 win, which can be detrimental to a team’s preparation.
He said it was the team’s best win to date but there are some areas that need improvement on, as a more composed opposition can exploit those areas and pose problems to the Hunters at this crucial period of the competition.
Marum didn’t want to elaborate on those areas other than to say the team is working hard each week to get better.
Marum instead said they would take the positives from last week’s comprehensive victory into consideration when preparing this Saturday’s rematch against a North’s Devils side that beat the Hunters in the first round.
He has named the same starting side from last week but made slight changes to the bench bringing in utility Lawrence Tu’u.
The match kicks off at 2.30pm this Saturday at Kalabond Stadium, Kokopo. Tickets are available from Agmark Hardware with a free child ticket on offer for each paying adult. The side with two to be omitted prior to kick off is:
