PNG Hunters name unchanged team to face Souths Logan Magpies

PNG Hunters will maintain the same side that went down to Wynnum Manly Seagulls last week. Coach Michael Marum has come up with a new plan when they take on Souths Logan Magpies at Davis Park, in Brisbane on Sunday. It’s a must win match for the Hunters if they are to have any chance of securing a maiden finals appearance in their first year in the competition. The Hunters currently sit in sixth spot, two points behind Tweed Heads who have two matches remaining. A win this weekend against Souths and an automatic two points from a last round bye would put pressure on Tweed and Ipswich to win their remaining two matches of the season. Marum is expecting the boys to close their regular season with a big win that will push them through to making it in the final five contentions. “The boys have being experiencing some cold up down here in Brisbane but that’s not an issue as they are more focused on the game on Sunday,” Marum said. “We have two sessions where the boys will go into doing some light training today and tomorrow morning to puff the cold. Lets hope that the Tweeds and Ipswich loss their matches which will certainly open the curtains for the us” said Marum. He has made some adjustments to his side with George Benson returning to the starting line-up at second row and Adam Korave back from injury at lock. The rest of the side is unchanged with Israel Eliab, Garry Lo, Thompson Teteh, Jason Tali, Adex Wera, Dion Aiye, Roger Laka, Timothy Lomai, Wartovo Puara, Esau Siune, George Benson, Sebastine Pandia, Adam Korave, The Interchange players include Noel Zeming, Willie Minoga, Albert Patak, Lawrence Tu’u and Brandy Peter will start from the bench.
