Divine Word University builds academic office

Divine Word University’s Madang campus would soon open yet another new infrastructure aimed at further improving service to students, staff and the public.

This time, it is a two-storey office complex (pictured) for all faculty deans and academic heads of departments which is nearing completion.  The building is expected to be ready for use in the new academic year in 2015.

The main purpose of this office block is to have the academic division located in one building thus to enhance services to students, staff and the public.

DWU President, Fr Jan Czuba said: “The University’s strategic plan aims at providing more accessible, modern and conducive learning, teaching and working environment. “

“This project is fully financed by the university and is one of many projects undertaken by DWU during this (2014) academic year.”

A new health clinic is also under construction. Fr Czuba said the clinic will have quality health care services made available to the DWU Community.

He said the clinic would be officially opened during the launching of DWU’s new academic year in 2015.

The infrastructure development at the DWU campus adds to the ongoing property development in Madang town.
