PNG national arrested for attempted rape in Cebu in the Philippines
A Papua New Guinean was arrested over the weekend for allegedly trying to rape a 20-year-old motel employee in Cebu City.
Hornis Melua Opa was the subject of citizens' arrest after he allegedly punched the woman when she refused his advances, GMA Cebu's Bexmae Jumao-as and Chona Carreon reported.
The suspect supposedly barged into the hotel where the victim worked and tried to force her to have sex with him.
Some concerned citizens in the area and some of the woman's co-workers apprehended the suspect.
Investigation showed the suspect entered the motel and asked to have sex with the woman, who refused.
