Students keen about mining industry

STUDENTS from remote St Mary’s Urimong primary school in the Sumgilbar area of Madang were very keen and eager to learn abouth the mining industry during an excursion to the Ramu NiCo Management Operation Base in Madang yesterday.

Over forty grade eight students, two teachers and four school board members were hosted by the Ramu NiCo Management Corporate Office during their excursion.

The students who hailed mostly from remote Dimer and Basken villages situated eight kilometers from the north coast-Bogia road were excited to be hosted in a modern office conference room and being shown video and power point presentations on the Ramu NiCo Project. The teachers and the board of the school were grateful to Ramu NiCo, for accepting their request to visit.
