Think global than regionalism
Port Moresby is the fast developing city in the South Pacific |

We should be thinking in the pretext of Papua New Guinea than bringing regionalism into the scope. I guess the southern region's concern is that whilst the nation's capital is becoming one of the fastest growing city in the world, the provinces around it haven't really seen any tangible face development. Because of this, the timing of the two main roads isn't perhaps right in this point in time. It may be okay tomorrow. Intermarriages will one day kill of regionalism; this will be true in the making so lets stop talking regionalism and start developing our own setting. And, soon, we will talk globalism. My small village is becoming a small PNG with its children having tolai, simbu, tari, madang and central roots. A global village is also emerging in my village with chinese roots. In the face of development, we will see these changes in the pages of time. Let us enjoy our uniqueness, enjoy our cultures and, embrass our customs in our own setting whilsting developing what is around us but stop preaching regionalism, our children doesn't want to hear that talk.
On the fear is the land grabbing, the people should stop selling land and register land through ILG. On the long run, this will secure the children of tomorrow who will still own the land. The seller of today will cause the children of tomorrow to be foreigners in their land. So sellers, do not sell your identity.Thank you.
