New website launched for small entrepreneurs
A new, fast and innovative way for Papua New Guineans to do business online is to access the cloud one product through the Pacific cloud international website.
The website is the first of its kind to be developed and launched by a young Morobean who is also the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Cloud Enterprise Company, Trevor Gankarch, on Friday at the Investment Promotion Authority (IPA)head office in Port Moresby.
Mr Gankarch said the aim of creating the website or software application is to promote and market small medium entrepreneurs in PNG to the international market through the use of the website. "The website is specially designed to assist the 49,000 SMEs throughout the country," said Mr Gankarch.
He said one of the important features about the website is that people from other countries can easily learn more about a particular type of business in PNG simply by logging onto the pacific cloud website that has information about its members and the type of business activities that they are involved in.
He said the website is useful to organisations and individuals because it is created in a simple way that allows individuals and organisations to do their business wherever they are, without the use of a flash drive or a hard drive.
"This simply means that if an individual wants to do his or her work, he or she simply logs onto the website and all their files appear on the website, making it easy and convenient for the person to do their work," Mr Gankarch said.
The founder added that the launch of the website makes it easy for individuals and organisations to do businesses online by allowing them to access their work files and at the same time it allows them to collaborate with other businesses partners using devices such as mobile phones anywhere in the world.
Pacific Cloud International said to work closely with IPA to grow PNG business internationally and those wanting to be members have to pay K250 to register at vision city or simply log on to the website www.pacificcloudint.com.
