Bank of South Pacific Group supports relief efforts in Vanuatu
BSP made the presentation to Vanuatu Red Cross to assist in immediate relief supplies, like food, clean water and sanitation, medical aid to affected communities, as well as contributing to longer term relief operations in rebuilding the lives of fellow pacific islanders affected.
BSP CEO Robin Fleming said, “We extend our prayers to those affected, their families and communities. BSP values our relationship with our fellow Pacific Island Nations and we hope that this donation will go a long way to support Vanuatu Red Cross in their restoration efforts. ”
“As the leading bank in the South Pacific, our families extend across the ocean, and we are pleased to lend a helping hand and be part of the relief efforts to restore normalcy to Vanuatu.”
This is not the first instance where the BSP Group has made donations to help relief efforts in the Pacific. BSP has been supportive of relief efforts in the region, most recently, the floods and cyclones in Solomon Islands in 2014, where the bank donated SBD200, 000 to disaster relief.
