Oil Search Pacific Games Relay begins 100 day journey in lead up to the 2015 Pacific Games

The Oil Search Pacific Games Relay will officially launch to coincide with 100 days to go until the
opening of the XV Pacific Games at an official event attended by Papua New Guinea Prime Minister,
Hon. Peter O' Neill, CMG, MP, Minister for Sports & Pacific Games (and MP South East Port Moresby)
Hon. Justin Tkatchenko and Minister for Inter-Govt. Relations and Powes Parkop, Port Moresby
Governor.
The Oil Search Pacific Games Relay will take part in a traditional lagatoi ceremony as it commences
its 100 day journey which will see the Relay Baton reach seven million people and travel to 22
Provinces.
The Relay provides every province in Papua New Guinea the opportunity to showcase its people, its
culture, its natural beauty and its history before it culminates at the Opening Ceremony of the 2015
Pacific Games on Saturday 4 July 2015.
When: Wednesday 25 March, 12.45pm – 1.45pm
Where: Ela Beach (between amphitheatre and volleyball courts)
