PNG Institute of Public Administration welcomes Trainers from Australia
The Papua New Guinea Institute of Public Administration (PNGIPA) today welcomed five Trainers from the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) in Australia to join the staff of the Institution to train students on Government Public Administration and Finance Management Diploma Programmes.
PNGIPA Director Mr Angori Wewerang said the involvement of the CIT Trainers is to help promote the current programmes offered by the Institution and to learn and deliver the best trainings for both the student’s success and the trainer’s success as well.
Mr Wewerang said the PNGIPA will also have another group of trainers CIT joining the team this coming Sunday and a third group on the following week.
Meanwhile the PNGIPA is looking forward to working with the Trainers to deliver the best skills in Public Administration and Finance Management to the students”, he said.
Senior Manager of the Training Delivery- CIT Solutions, Kathy Wilson told PNGIPA management and staff today during the welcoming ceremony at the PNGIPA Campus that she will work with her trainers to make sure that the product that they deliver is exactly what the learners’ need.
“This will build the capability of our own Public Sector Students”, she said.
She said these Diploma programs will start next Monday after the arrival of the other trainers from CIT on this Sunday which the formal training will start on Monday afternoon.
She said the pattern of the training will be of five opportunities of five two-week blocks for 10 weeks training throughout the year to deliver the programs.
