Bougainville Tourism Association plans for tourism symposium

Bougainville Tourism
Chairman of the Bougainville Tourism Association Jeffery Magum says his association plans to stage a Tourism Symposium in Bougainville next year with the next government after it is formed.
He said he expects all tourism stakeholders such as guest house owners, the Bougainville Administration, police, village people to attend this symposium.
He added that this tourism symposium in planning will be staged after the formation of the next government.
During the symposium, Mr. Magum and his executives will be pointing out that tourism is different from arts and culture and therefore should go under one division of its own.
He went on further to say that tourism, arts and culture has a big potential in generating revenue for Bougainville because Bougainville when compared to other pacific countries has more potential for tourism activities.
He then appealed to the people of Bougainville to identify tourism sites and inform the Bougainville Tourism association so tourist coming into Bougainville will be able to visit those sites.
He added that other tourism organizations should create a network with his association so they can all be guided by the same aims and goals to move the tourism industry forward with one voice. Dawn FM
