Namah voted in as Governor of West Sepik Province
Vanino Green and former opposition leader, Belden Namah has been elected governor of West Sepik by the West Sepik Provincial Assembly. He was elected governor after the Supreme Court declared the position of West Sepik vacant.
About 13 Local Level Government presidents in the province elected Belden Namah who will hold the governorship position pending the outcome of the by-election currently being worked out by the PNG Electoral Commission.
It is believed that Namah will relinquish his Vanimo Green seat to contest the West Sepik Governors' post in the by-election.
