BSP female executive named “2014 Best HR Practitioner”
Bank South Pacific (BSP) executive Hari Rabura was named the "Best HR Practitioner 2014" by the Papua New Guinea Human Resource Institute (PNGHRI)Ms Rabura, is the bank's Deputy General Manager Human Resource. She is the first female employee to reach executive management level at BSP, and is among only a few Papua New Guineans to make their way up to the top management.
Ms Rabura joined BSP as a graduate trainee in 2001 and moved up the ladder, left BSP in 2006 to advance her career with various companies and returned in 2014, and was subsequently appointed to her current role in August 2014.
"I am so pleased to have received this prestigious award. This is a realisation of a huge dream and I am honored by this recognition though PNGHRI," Ms Rubura said, shortly after receiving her award from Prime Minister Peter O'Neill who officiated at the ceremony.
"I thank the BSP HR team, the management for believing in me and supporting the change initiatives driven by HR. BSP is a great organisation that takes lead in human resource development, and giving opportunities to women," she added.
Ms Rabura holds an Education Degree from University of Goroka and is currently on BSP Leadership Program taking up leadership and management courses from Melbourne Business School.
